Traveling from Nottingham on the A609 towards
Ilkeston you will pass Trowell St.
Helens church on your left with the Festival Inn on your right. Follow the bend in the road for
approximately 3/4 of a mile at which point you will come to a canal bridge with
the Gallows Inn pub on your right on the bridge.
Take the next left over the bridge (Thurman Street). Proceed to the end of this
road and turn left on to Hallam Fields Road. The Stute playing fields (Hallam
Fields Sports Ground) are about
300 yards on your right.
